This is an excellent point, I'm glad you brought it up because narcissists torment their victims as much as possible with the goal of destabilizing them mentally and emotionally in order to discredit them later.

It's the biggest reason why they get away with years even decades of tormenting someone and face no jail time.

I also blame the enablers that surround a narcissist because they also torment the survivor and drive them further into isolation and despair by invalidating their abuse claims.
