Not everything a narcissist says to you deserves a response.

In fact, most of what they say is only manipulation disguised as conversation.

This is why a conversation with a narcissist is an invitation to a fight, and it doesn’t matter what you do or how much you try; it always seems to end up gaslighting you into oblivion, no matter how innocently things start.

That’s why you should always ration a narcissist’s currency.

A narcissist’s currency is attention, and when you’re talking to them, you’re spending a lot of it.

Narcissists play with people the way that a cat plays with a mouse.

The problem is that while they may be playing, no one else is because they were never taught the rules of the game.

Then, after you’ve given them all of your attention, time and energy, you may be left feeling drained and upset because they have to be the best at manipulation, but you didn’t want the head games; you just wanted them to understand. Just once.

And if they haven’t upset you, they ghost you because they came to you for attention…
