This is how they build relationships with their children; they create a shared delusion where they imagine that the other person is their parent and must continue to do things for them as proof of their love.
Constant LARPing
While role-playing as the baby of their own child that they now no longer care for, the child will be forced to become the adult to their play-acting parent by age nine or ten at the latest.
Then the narcissist must re-enact their failed childhood again and again with you, desperately trying to get it right so that they can finally grow up.
