The article highlights the pitfalls of taking what society thinks seriously without first acknowledging that group think almost never engages in critical thought.

As a part of that society we owe it to everyone else who has been taken in so easily to ask the questions they did not. Such as "Is this rational?" or "Does this road lead to a good place for everyone, or just the person with the microphone?"

We would all be better off and more inclined to listen to ideas from unpopular people equally.
