Have you ever wondered why the narcissist keeps coming back to talk to you?

They might even be giving you the silent treatment for ages, leading you to believe that they finally got bored and moved on.

But wait, they come back around again to ask you if you saw that boring pointless TV show that you were never really into (even though it’s not like they were really listening anyway).

Why would anyone do this?

Well quite simply, the narcissist never communicates because if they speak to anyone it is only because they have something to achieve.

Like psychopaths, the narcissist is driven by goals.

Fifty Shades of Impressions

The narcissist needs to impress you all the time, because if you are impressed then you are much more likely to give them the supply that they so desperately need, or engage in the shared fantasy that they need to absorb you into.

The narcissist never communicates, it is an illusion. They are only ever trying to reach a predetermined goal.
