Everything has changed, well maybe not everything. This is still Hell, and it’s still not as hot as advertised.

I’m trying to quell the feelings of anxiety from the news and exhaustion from everything else, so I had my morning coffee. Americano just the way I like it, and it gave me a little burst, it totally did. I just wish it released that buzz of caffeine over time instead of in one big adrenaline rush.

Us humans are so adaptable, it’s remarkable if you really think about it; even if this was Hell, we’d find a way to make it work. We would flip burgers on the burning coals, figure out a way to make Ben & Jerry’s and chill.

We might not look the same, but we’re not supposed to because we’re all different. Our uniqueness needs to start being looked upon as a thing of beauty instead of a problem.

Our minds are who we are, not what we look like or what we buy. If we don’t begin to engage and embrace the mind of each other we run the risk of losing our humanity along with society and community.

Civil unrest is mounting and if we destroy each other just because we desire change, what kind of ‘change’ will that create? Let’s not burn all that is good along with…
